Winter Coulter Poems

Another step forward
Two steps back
Maturing to quickly
Childhood gone in a flash
...

Walking empty halls
Its always the same
I need to sleep but I am unable
Endless thoughts cloud my mind
...

The Decaying leaves prove
The end of my existence
A brutal Autumn
...

I felt the wind at my back
I heard the whisper of the dead
I felt the footsteps right behind me
I saw the shadow come across my path
...

I kept your picture
To remind me not to trust
But I trust again
...

A symbol of innocence to some
To me it symbolizes death
A pure beauty to a happier person
To me it's the bitterness of a dying heart
...

One said I look at a rose and only see the thorns
I see the flower and the pain it causes
Yet sometimes I see the joy
One said I look at the sun and only see the destruction
...

I watch the struggle from a distance
A bird with a broken wing
Should I help? I questioned myself
I see him resting in a pool of blood
...

The sky is on fire with the coming dawn
The air is dead silent
I know the dead remember
Secrets of the night are brought to light
...

The tainted rose leaves her impression
She dreams of love
But her petals are crushed under the heel
She loved him
...

Life is but a maze
You try to find the correct path
Yet you find sudden turns and random dead ends
The center is unknown to all
...

I thought I knew you but I only knew the mask.
You showed your true colors.
I thought you loved me, but now I realize you cannot love.
I saw those thoughts behind your eyes yet I still fell in love with your lies.
...

13.

She sits alone in nothingness
She wonders where to go from here
She starts to cry
'Someone, please save me from myself.'
...

You marched off to battle
In your uniform of blue and gold
I watched you go
Praying for your return
...

Here I am again
Stuck in your twisted game of cat and mouse
A victim of my love for you
But alas that is where I fall
...

I feel your eyes on me
Always watching
Following only steps behind me
I hear you breathing
...

17.

She wonders what happened.
She looks in the mirror and sees her evil reflected.
That's what she thinks anyway.
She asks herself 'Will my hands be stained red with his blood?

The Best Poem Of Winter Coulter

Coming Of Age.

Another step forward
Two steps back
Maturing to quickly
Childhood gone in a flash
An innocent smile
Never quite reaching her eyes
Lines on her forehead
A picture of her past
Loving again
But never quite as fast
Looking for a purpose
But blind to what is right in front of her
Searching for happiness
But passing him by
Finally it dawns
She loves him
Finally a smile that reaches her eyes
She is happy with her coming of age.
