if one could bridge the distance with a word,
A journey would become a pilgrimage
reading your verses is like a pilgrimage itself, for it touches the deepest core of my being, uplifts and fills with reverence.
love and regards

What a welcome moment this poem about writing and poetry made for me this morning. I am delighted by it. Please try my poem Host, which is also about writing poetry but from a different angle.

This is a beautiful poem, a privilege to read, dear friend. I only wish that I had words to adequately praise your verse. Each leaf of your elegant writing contains a world. I am sure that friendship outlives the body, and transcends the physical world. Thank you for this tender poem.
It goes straight to my heart.

May I shorten my comment by agreeing with what Alison Cassidy wrote on this poem word by word. I am sure I could not explain myself better than him.Let us be friend until we are Blown away.

Poetry is like words written on the tablets of the wind and it flows on the gust of mushroomy patterns of wind. Only a sensible, poigent and friend like critic can grasp and conceive the depth and beauty of the versification.
The first stanza is really very elegant and indeed the journey of words is like a pilgrimage. The streamline flow of your poetic themes is again very apparent from this gem like poem, Sandra.
Best Regards
Naseer

There is something quite sacred about this poem, Sandra. The first couplet sets the mood of pilgrimage and leaf fall and the leaf becomes a poignant metaphor for a long and far away friendship - 'My leaf has found a home upon your coat.' A sublime tribute from one poet friend to another.
'Until autumn blows one of us away' certainly brought a lump to my throat. Love, Alison ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
