15 seconds

15 seconds ago you were a different person.
How can one’s life change so suddenly?
The thoughts you've conceived have evolved into actions, only 15 seconds.
The earth was calm 15 seconds ago, the trees didn’t move, the wind didn’t blow, now there’s a storm 15 second and more.
Your heart didn't beat for 15 seconds, you thought your life was over.
In 15 seconds I’ll see into the future.
I’ll see the different features that life has to offer.
How many beautiful flowers will wither and lose their colour in 15 seconds?
How has salt lost its savour in 15 seconds?
Where were you 15 seconds ago, for I was trapped in the past?
Alas I’m 15 seconds wiser than before.
You lost 15 dollars to save 15 cents in 15 seconds.
How have 15 years of marriage ended in 15 seconds?
Your intellect cannot object what is predestined.
You cannot detect what change will take place in the very near moment.
Vigilant eyes aren’t sharp enough to oversee life’s next phenomenon.
Sprinters aren’t fast enough to evade life’s toughest challenges.
We don’t know what 15 seconds will change our lives forever.
We don’t know what 15 seconds is gonna make us love one another.
It takes only 15 seconds of honesty to bring you closer to me.

Poem of the Day

poet Walt Whitman

ARM’D year! year of the struggle!
No dainty rhymes or sentimental love verses for you, terrible year!
Not you as some pale poetling, seated at a desk, lisping cadenzas
