A Mission, a Will...a Hope

In a foreign land,
A pilgrim from the west
Pushes his fingers into the earth

He does this with a mission, a will, and a hope

He works to draw out a small sample—
A piece of the Syrian Desert—
Another microcosm

You're very young and idealistic, do you really think there is hope in hate?
It sure is another world and not a very agreeable one.
Anyway, the poem is very well written and says more than a pseudo-political speach would. (Report) Reply
