A Pig In The Sky

A pig in the sty
Wished to fly
So he grew wings
And took to the skies.

He flew over
A meandering river,
Stopped and then hovered
Over a rising tower.

A magician who saw him
In the high sky
Cried, “Hey, is that not a pig
Trespassing on the sky! ”

So, using a magical trick
He turned the flying pig
Nay, not into a fly
But into a beautiful butterfly

When you look out of your window
Children you may find the piggy out there,
But in case you don’t
He is sure to have gone elsewhere!

A beautiful poem filled with humour. I just imagined the pig flying in the sky. I just wondered if all of us could get one magician and get our dreams fulfilled of flying in sky....
    Loved reading it. (Report) Reply

To season my fireside with personal talk.--

Or neighbours, daily, weekly, in my sight:
