A Poem of Friendship

Thanking you, for all the given deeds
And heartfelt cares we both adore

Thanking you, for having courage
To enter into the dialogue of ages

Cutting the distance between two souls
And compassionate glances between you and I

Thanking you, for mirthful smiles
And endearing nuances

Thanking you for timid laughs
When humor fell flat

Thanking you for your blessed soul
And having basked in the radiance of it

Thanking you, along with the angels of heaven
For having blown the trumpet of grace upon me

Thanking you, for who you are, who you will be
And the God-given gift that is you

Thanking you, for having met eyes with me,
For having impacted my life so deeply

Thanking you, for the greatness of your being
The very shadow of your existence illuminates this Earth

Thanking you, for your brilliance
It has shined through my intellect

Thanking you, for your attention
By acknowledging me you have given me life

Thanking you, for having let me touch your heart
And trusting me with your soul to care

Thanking you, my beloved friend,
You sweetly adorn
The hearth of my life
With your loving kindness.
