A river of Dreaded Dreams

A river of dreaded dreams
flowing away down that gentle stream
sitting in the middle of a meadow
lost in thoughts that seem to never happen until tomorrow
I sit under that willow tree
waiting for my soul to feel free
my emotions so paralyzed
I walk the river knowing everything is just a lie

A river of dreaded dreams
flowing away down that gentle stream
just for one day
I wish the dreams it carried would come my way
and maybe I wouldn't feel so paralyzed
just slowly burning away under that deathly sunrise
