A Trifle - Poem by Lawrence Beck

She is sleeping now, not far from here.
How I wish that I was with her. I
Would have her in my arms. I might
Sleep, too. I'd be content, but, as
Things are, I am not with her. Wide
Awake, I do not feel content.
