Aanu Bhadra Kratvo Yantu Vishwatah - Bhagvad Geeta - Poem by Akhtar Jawad

Let noble thoughts come, from each sides,
Collect the gems, wherever are the tides.
Enjoy good thoughts, like beauty of brides,
They are friends of all, and good guides.

Prove All things, hold fast that, which is good,
Holy Bible told me, I understood,
I was taught since my childhood,
Spread the truth, don't keep in a hood.

Golden principles, great men share,
God made laws for our welfare,
Same in Holy Koran, many unaware,
I respect all, read and care.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Great thought, great appeal and a universal ideology explained so beautifully in this poem. It gives me a great delight to tell you that I have been using this Sanskrit quote as my signature in another site: आ नो भद्रा: क्रतवो यन्तु विश्वतः / (Let noble thoughts come to us from every side) (Report) Reply

Let Noble thoughts come to you. A wonderful prayer. Your words have just added so much beauty to it. With all the painful news of war and killings your words of peace and serenity are a welcome relief. So happy to read this poem today. (Report) Reply
