Adieu Baba - Poem by Abubakar Abdulkadir

Years melted
Into wax of tears
Since you enrolled
In the gone verse
But the light of your seeds
Still have white your name

We swam in our tears
When echoes blab in condolence
That till zuma turn rubbles.
Till oceans turn desert
We will sit as in nostalgia
Not by our meek hurricane
Flashing toothy
To our midnight tale
But by the frowning visage
Of the scortching sun

Adieu
Baba
