Air - Poem by Lauren B Called

I see his face before me

but he's not really here

I feel his eyes upon me

seeking the hidden and unshared

places in me he's never gone

yet it's like he's been there

ever pulling me closer

until he becomes my air

I go with him alone

but haven't left the house

what I've never been shown

I see when he talks about

I feel something in him

that longs to run free

like a touch begs

and I want to obey

For some strange reason this poem reminds me of the play, Hair.
Maybe it's the freedom of it. (Report) Reply
