I look in the eyes of an angel And get touched by the hands of a god, Oh but you're just a stranger, And I'm off in the land of nod. I feel your words crawling on my skin, As my memories try to get back in, But they're just words from a blind man, Talking about love he'll never see again. I fall down around every corner And lean against every wall, Waiting and hoping for an angel To catch me on my final fall, All the headlights confuse me, You get another chance to lose me, Just like everything I've loved before, You've taken an early grave by the shore. I know the dead can dance Because I do it every night, I stand in my dead mans stance And wait on the flashing lights, If they ever take me in, And throw me away for a devilish grin, I will tell them time and time again, I'm just another angel who's sinned.
