devon da poet (April 27,1992 / Sauteurs, Grenada)
You claim to be insane
All you speak is profanity
You criticize the truth: guilty of hypocrisy
The enemy's employee
An advocate for idolatry
You sat where we sit
You sang what we sing
You bowed where we kneel
Your vow: was it real?
Pride and jealousy have led to ego
From success to failure: 100 to zero
Inside your bones were very little marrow
The righteous leads; the wicked you follow
Your own conceit was your main deceit
A light hidden, the darkness swallowed
God love the lost: one sheep is missing
Ninety-nine are home but the Shepherd's grieving
Your soul worth a cost, did you get a shilling?
God's love for us is above any ceiling
Its grace: something not worth receiving
There's none condemned in the name of Jesus Christ
Lost or saved he payed the price for us
Are there still any survivors?
Come home back-sliders!
