Bad news is playing on the radio And all the colors are on down the road, The weight of consciousness pushes down on me. And all the love in the air cant cure my despair. Another mile to seek But the road wont cross me, And my life stumbles on Down this bumpy road. A woman in the jewelry store Is grabbing up a diamond ring, And the cars turn away from me. And all I see are wondering souls. Twenty minutes till the clock turns back And the married man is playing the single act, And the night is playing cold, Along the stairway you seek your gold. Another mile to seek And happiness is so weak, The world crumbles at my feet. In its own pity and self defeat.
