Be Like A Little Star - Poem by Sumeet Mukherjee

Ever noticed a little child?
And ever noticed their blissful ignorance?
Though they have seen the least of this world
Yet they’ve some exceptional sense

They have so many things to teach you back
We’re no doubt mature
But few are the things that we lack
So, those are called the little stars
Who shine even brighter than the brightest star

When you come along with them
You’ll realize the unselfish love
That they emit
If you play along with them
You’ll realize in what state of purity
Do they exist

Their mind is free from all the tensions
Yet their heart is full of love and emotions
They don’t bother about tricks and relations
What they understand is
The deep love and affection

They never even dream to harm anybody
As their purest desire is to love everybody
They don’t have the tendency to take revenge
And they are free from every mental avenge

They have the habit
To learn everything new
Yet this habit is maintained and cultivated
By only a few
They have the craze and excitement
In every object they see
They develop a sense of attachment
And suppress ‘I’ for ‘we’

Learn to be a little star
The childhood stage is the purest in our life
Remember your every experience
It’s going to help you in every strife
