i worry that this poem received such a low rating because voters haven't spent enough time reading it. this is pure genius, and almost makes me cry because it's so beautiful. i love the loop effect he reveals at the end... those parentheses are brilliant. i could read this poem every day for the rest of my life and find something new with each read. ee cummings, you're my absolute favorite.

the persistent 'r' and 'l' sounds as if one is gargling or gasping for breath from under water. Nice effect. Can't tell if it is someone dying by drowning or drowning in orgasm,
