Before And After
We shared many happy times together,
We laughed and smiled,
I wanted to stay forever,
And now I think I’m stuck in denial.
I opened up to you; unusual for me -
Even you spoke about your family.
You treated me like a mate,
You made me happy, you made me feel great!
Around you, I was myself.
Your beauty made my heart melt.
When you hugged me – I was ecstatic,
Every moment together was fantastic.
That was before...
From March 14th that all changed,
You hurt me – that drove me insane.
All the rumours you believed,
I, so upset; fell to my knees.
You were so harsh,
How can one woman be so cruel?
It’s like I never knew you at all.
Before and After -
An oxymoron of emotions.
Happy then sad,
Feeling good then feeling bad.
