Beholding Love's Pain
A pain I know all too well,
the awful emotions of my pain do dwell;
without a doubt, they can't escape
the depths of my soul, never will we embrace
love ever again. In the beginning, I devoted
every waking moment to you, but the truth eroded.
I've hurt the only one I love
and sadly, not even the white dove
of peace may not bring us together
my soul; waiting with tender
patience. I gaze upon the boundless wonder
of the sky, hoping you feel my passion, which has forever
existed. Those precious eyes of yours are purely stunning -
every night I feel them gazing -
when I awake each morning
they continue to gaze with affection
and one day, sealing our endless devotion
will be sealed and continue throughout the end
Not knowing if the time will mend.
