Birdhouse In The Backyard - Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Home on the lakeside
Birdhouse in the backyard
Abode of over a dozen
Purple Martin families.

Chirps and songs
A delight to the ear
Swiftness and aerial
Acrobatics a wonder.

Tracing figure of eight
Catching bugs in flight
What a beautiful sight
As we approach the night.

Nature has in its store
Many feathered friends
Performing enchanting tricks
Raising our hearts to the sky.
