Blind Emotions

I try to write but my hand shakes
I smile but it is fake
My tears they stream down
I now wear a frown
My teeth they chatter
My heart is shattered
I start to shiver
My heart is now only a sliver
If they saw me sad they'd be happy
Knowing I was feeling crappy
Instead I show no feeling
I kept them reeling
I passed my task
Of always wearing a mask
As a person I've grown
They wonder how cuz I've got a heart of stone
I now show the emotions I feel
I finally can be real

Lovely words Cassidy. Remember that The Bullies are the ones with the real insecurities. Keep up the great work. (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
