Blue on Blue

After the rain,
The skies so blue,
The air was clean,
And seemed blue too,
The rain had painted skies deep blue,
And then I thought so much of You,
How far you are, the Ocean too,
The Sky, the Ocean, sadly Blue.

It makes me think that you can wish,
Upon a blue-lit tingling Star,
That seems so close, yet is so far,
That Love can travel to the moon,
Yet, disappear in a small room,
That Life is fragile, so is Love,
And much that's Blue is a Mirage.

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

A little while a little love
The hour yet bears for thee and me
Who have not drawn the veil to see
If still our heaven be lit above.
Thou merely, at the day's last sigh,
