Bruised Deeply

Seems as if the bad times never do go away
My bad luck always remains
I feel as if I am totally destroyed
As my life is full of bad times
The good never remains for long
I am unwanted by most
Unloved I remain
Totally destroyed I have been
I do not deserve to be loved anymore
Since, impurity exists within me.
Hurt, I am in many ways
Some things I cannot even describe
Words are running out at the present stage
Unloved and impure I am
Nothing remains in me to love anymore
The times of my life are asking for death
I deserve death, a very cruel one
Maybe, the vultures should eat my remaining flesh
Flesh, which is impure
Deserve, I do death and I beg please show no mercy
Dig deep with all the force
Show no mercy, while piercing my flesh and dark soul
Bruise me so much, that even my shrieks will go unheard
I remain as a soul, always unloved and unheard.

poet Helen Hunt Jackson

The month of carnival of all the year,
When Nature lets the wild earth go its way,
And spend whole seasons on a single day.
The spring-time holds her white and purple dear;
