Cheers To Tears

100 questions come to my mind
Why do things have to change when they were perfect from the start?
Why do we have to lose everything that we have always been holding onto?
Where can I get all the facts?
I am afraid I will never have a clear answer

Once, long ago
It started with ‘Love and dreams’
The road blocked ahead of us
Keeping us from getting where we wanted to go
No beginning, no end
No hopes, no causes
Ended with ‘pain and disappointment’
It was not supposed to happen
But it did
Cheers to tears

I really felt that moment
The smile on my face wouldn’t go
I had you, all you, now I have myself
Forever actually don’t last
We walked this path for far too long
That was too long to wait

Bringing it all back
I had forgotten how harsh it was
I never wanted to give up the hope
Could we have made it alive?
There was nothing great about keeping it alive
Life was the same everyday
We would never get out alive

The trauma surrounding this problem
There were lots of warning signs before this moment
I didn’t even have the time to consider that
When we are in love sometimes we forgive too much
The world was convulsed by anguish
I was inside someone who hates me
There is no pain as great as being in an abusive relationship
I could barely hold it in
Cheers to tears
I have found a perfect end
I can’t believe it’s come to this

Through the sad tears I cried this past time
The one thing I get from all this
There is absolutely nothing that can be taken for granted in this world
The universe is more than a million trillion times larger than what we see
Didn't want a part of it
I let you walk away
Now you feel so broken
The heart terribly in pieces
The lungs aching badly
The bones are falling
This is harder than you thought
The world seems so small
Nowhere to get out always in pain
The absence is more noticeable
You want to feel happiness so bad
Nothing seems to be working
I'll tell you what you need to hear
Don’t make that mistake again
Girls are like money
If you drop money in the toilet
You will fish it out
Faster than it dropped in
What is worth immersing your hand in the toilet bowl for?
We too good to ignore

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.

The Wind is hiding in the trees,
