Child Of Hope

For ghastly thoughts amid these fears
A shadow will dance beneath my tears
The child of hope in silence weeps
As peace we seek while wisdom sleeps

The meadow glows a distant dream
Here flows love the purest stream
The child of hope now sweetly sings
A worldly calm her voice here brings

We search for truth within dark lies
For a distant soul be my disguise
The child of hope will take my hand
And lead me to this Promised Land

Poem of the Day

poet Robert William Service

Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
