Devil Rules

Devil reigns, reigning,
mind, heart and soul.

In his extended Kingdom
Rules implied

don't Be Honest
don't Be Kind
don't Give up lust.

Love
Faith
Trust
should cease
To Exist.

Or be penalized.
Penalty of pain
poverty and shame
prolonged despair
grief and sorrow
will be imposed

to teach you
a lesson
to be borne
in your mind
heart and soul
Devil Rules.

Poem of the Day

poet Alfred Edward Housman

The time you won your town the race
We chaired you through the market-place;
Man and boy stood cheering by,
And home we brought you shoulder-high.
