~~~ Does 'Unity' Fly in Your Neighborhood~~~
  As I walk the streets of my neighborhood…
One can always see natures beauty in what grows;
green grass, and flowers, plants and various trees.
More prominent is “ole glory” standing tall,
fluttering in the breeze high atop steel poles.
Or hanging down from several front porches.
All of nature has its roots in the ground…
Watered by the falling rain of spring or fallen snow of winter,
warmed by the rays of God's bright sun.
Left alone to flourish in the blowing wind,
Each stands tall for all others to see.
Our material flag has similar roots…
Watered by the blood of patriots who fought and died,
scorched by their blazing guns in battles won.
Our freedoms have been assured by valiant souls unknown,
flowing now in the hearts of every American.
Some decry the very fiber it has given them or wish they had…
By burning, or trashing to shredding “Our Flag, ”
never once considering the sacrifices so many made.
Uncaringly they tread upon those liberties we enjoy,
Attempting to trample our Spirit and sense of Pride.
Not in vain the strong will say…
By choice it has lead the embattled parade,
Flying high standing above all others for everyone to see.
As all generations, young or old can relate
The Pledge of Allegiance Under God and our willingness to defend.
May we never take for granted all the freedoms gained…
While others strive to tear it down,
as a nation each neighborhood must stand strong
never ever to forget what “our flag” means.
The blue rectangle box is full of fifty white shining stars,
with seven red and six white strips that signifys... our Unity.
Knowing it’s flying within My neighborhood is truly a glorious sight!
