You were a passing ship
In the night.
At once a momentary delight.
(With a shadow of a fright) .
The free untamed spirit of youth!
Dangling free.
Scaring the old man in me.
Someone said like fatal attraction.
One could be drawn in.
Gossips whispered,
Better to stay on the straight and narrow.
Might have sounded more honest.
From all you`s.
You became overnite,
Someone i would probably
Never see again.
My attraction to you,
Not physical,
Only intellectual
Such things don`t form
Lasting lust.

oh what a talent swaddling across the wisdom
passion eclectic raves up by the edge of youth......wonderful feeling that happens to happen by the journey, yet a parley by paradox shift ingeniouss by imagery, superb write,10+++, thanks for sharing (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Percy Bysshe Shelley

O World! O Life! O Time!
On whose last steps I climb,
Trembling at that where I had stood before;
When will return the glory of your prime?
No more -Oh, never more!
