FIRST SNOW IS A LONELY THING

First snow
is a lonely
thing

First times
Forevers
Lovers
forgotten
beyond
the beyond

Once here
Now gone

First thought
of eventually
burns

Buried deep below
in seizures of snow

A thousand
snowflakes
deep
Blink
bright
across
this sea
Frozen
blue

Speak to me
Speak of you

This cold
blue
creed
Star
cracked
sky

Blue ore
cold
First snow
Lonely

The sound of you
long gone
Blowing through

Clear and cold
and beautiful
A thought
lost
somewhere
for good

If I could
I would
remember
That cold blue
A different
December

Thoughts moving at the speed of light
like first snows and seasons past
A thousand snowflakes
Falling
Calling

Nothing lasts
Nothing lasts

poet Pablo Neruda

I want you to know
one thing.

You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
