Flesh And Blood Poem by Mona Lee Mesa
' Flesh And Blood' By: M.Mesa
My Little angel i gave u back to heaven
and the pain repeats 77 times 7.
I knew I was not ready but even then
I loved you from the moment ur life began.
Through an act of love you came to be
A sweet surprise for your dad and me.
You should have seen the look on his face
overcome with joy and quite amazed.
There was nothing He wanted more than you
in this moment his favorite dream came true
You were to be his everything
His joy His Life His very being
Unlike me Youre his first creation
Made of life and love and a blaze of passion.
He even built you a pedal stool in a sunny spot
with little steps to help you to the top.
and lined a path with the brightest colors
just to fill your world with love and wonder.
He worked harder than ever with more desire
he wanted to have all that you might require.
He spoke to you through the walls of my womb
Telling you a story of his love for you.
As brand new life on earth commence
at the moment when it all makes sense
He anticipated a day in the future
when his arms would hold his son or daughter.
yet Our Father seemed to have different plans
when he took you back into his hands.
And a river was crafted with tears that streamed
through the chest of a hopeful father to be.
I couldn't speak or think or see
past all the questions that stormed through me.
Why now why Him He would have been great
why me why us... were we just too late.
was there anything I could have done
to save my daughter or my son?
What have I done wrong? I screamed
to lose what meant the world to me.
Im sorry for anything I've done I swear
I'll Make it up.. just leave him here.
But nothing I could do or say
would convince the lord to let you stay.
Your in a Better place I know,
still It hurt so much to see you go.
We never got to caste our gaze
on your angelic lovely face.
...if in heaven we should meet one day
I'll know its you somehow someway.
My angel, If your not so very far
and you can see us from where you are,
Heres a great big hug and infinite kisses
from daddy mommy and 3 little misses.
Please, for your family you must pray
and watch your sisters as they play.
Let daddy know you see him too
He loves you more than he knows how to.
I miss you my angel
this is not the end
you'll stay in my heart
until I see you again.
Mommy Loves You, Micael 12/2009-02/2010
