Four Seasons Love

We met in the showers
Of the reinvigorating,
Splendour of spring: with feathery-flyers sweetly chirping,
rejuvinating lush fields of green,
Luxuriant forests and of course beautiful flowers
Splattered again; a lovely blessing
Indeed, was our hearts’ long-forgotten feeling
Of love that came into light. Unseen
By the both of us, yet concurrently,
Robustly sensing that we are perfect together;
Overjoyed by our splendiferous
Bond, which surely burns far more intense
Than the all-powerful scorching blaze of the fiery
Day star of the much adored summer
Sizzle. In an unexpected stupendous
Change has come about with immense
Passion – our eyes stared in fascination –
Of the once green trees transfigured
Into rainbows; all the while,
our love continues on the same path
to marital bliss. There are dead leaves
upon the ground and sorrowful desolation does echo,
frigid frozenness is prevailent; I found
my one and only snow flower forever in bloom, though
amidst the blizzard of the blistering winter months.
Nevertheless, the marshmallow-white wonderland delightful
with a plethora of over-the-moon pleasureful
unforgettable lifelong moments concocted.
Aside from the ever-changing seasons,
the love we have stays consistent throughout,
and it is not momentary – unceasingly paramount.

Poem of the Day

poet Sir Walter Scott

The moon's on the lake, and the mist's on the brae,
And the Clan has a name that is nameless by day;
Then gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
Gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
