Goodbye Old Friend

A Boisterous Border Collie puppy sits from a animal shelter sits happy in a cage
He was so happy to see everyone and was at the adoption stage
A family sees him and gives him a home
He wrecked the house when they first left him alone

He cried when he was a lone at night
He slept in my room and slept until it was day light
He stole the stake from the Barbeque
If you yelled at him he would just looked at you

He will drag you across the street on his walk
He refuses to let you stand there and talk
He is scared of a tractors and buses
But he likes it when people give him a fuss

He sits at the window and watches you walk away
He would jumps up and welcome you the next day
In the morning he would jumps up
He puts his paws around your neck to give you a hug

He was with me when my brother died
He sat by while I cried
But he was 15 when it was his time to go
I held his paw and didn't want to let go

I told him he was my best friend
It was time for our friendship to end
It was time to Say our goodbye
I told him I loved and watched him closed his eye

poet Alfred Lord Tennyson

It little profits that an idle king,
By this still hearth, among these barren crags,
Match'd with an aged wife, I mete and dole
Unequal laws unto a savage race,
