H.I.V/AIDS Prevention
When we're talking about H.I.V/AIDS Prevention
Will we be talking of words only or also action?
When we say: Prevention is better than cure,
When we say: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,
When we're disseminating H.I.V/AIDS information
to the whole nation
without procrastination,
We simply but seriously will be crying out for ACTION -
Action in Abstinence,
Action in Behavior Change,
Action in fulfilment of faithfullness to one sexual partner,
Action in Anti-RetroViral Treatment,
Because, when we say empty words all day long
They soon will come to rags like a cheap garment from Hong Kong;
Because, when AIDS says: 'I'm a hero'
We all must say: 'AIDS is nothing but a zero! '
After educating the nation
Let's take action without procrastination -
Action to prevent new STIs and STDs,
Action to curb all H.I.V/AIDS related deaths,
Action to allay certain risky behaviors,
Yet I repeat: When we say empty words all day long
They soon will come to rags like a cheap garment from Hong Kong,
Because, it's either we prevent now or cure never,
It's either we prevent now or cure never!
Let's take action - now -
Action in H.I.V/AIDS Prevention
For a man of words only and no deeds
is like a garden full of weeds,
When the weeds begin to grow
it's like a field full of snow,
When the snow begin to fall
it's like birds upon a wall,
When the birds begin to fly
it's like a shipwreck in the sky,
When the sky begins to roar
it's like a lion at the door,
When the door begins to crack
it's like a stick across your back,
When your back begins to smart
it's like a penknife in your heart,
And when your heart begins to bleed
oh then you're dead and dead indeed!
