Half Moon Delight - Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

My gaze fixed
On a cloud
Dark
It looked
Hazy
Around it.

Half moon ejected
Out into space
Half light spread
Around me
Only to be
Swallowed
By another cloud
I didn't notice it
Before.

Game of
Hide and seek
Followed
For half the night
Delight it was
Doubled and doubled
My sleep
Cut into half.

Gazing at the moon lit sky is a joy. We don't mind forgoing our sleep even! Nicely put! (Report) Reply
