He is gone

I didn't know you will go this far
I didn't know you would be gone by now
My life will never be the same
My tears will never stop rolling down
I thought we will always live together.

I didnt know this will break me apart like this
You have hurt my soul
You have broken my heart into pieces
How could you do this to me
You saying you love me
You saying you care for me
But you leaving me behind.

Poem of the Day

poet Charles Stuart Calverley

He stood, a worn-out City clerk —
Who'd toil'd, and seen no holiday,
For forty years from dawn to dark —
Alone beside Caermarthen Bay.
