Aniruddha Pathak (25.05.1941 / Godhra - Gujarat)
Hope is a bird that sings wordless
Those that hope not,
Leash their mind with tight ropes,
And may ne'er find the thought
That lies yonder all hopes.
For hope like a pathway is, to guide
First rains in dusty countryside,
Where ere was no path there,
Hope then comes hinting how and where.
In hope, people walk miles
In forests, single files,
Where slowly a way appears—
And soon a clear path haply veers.
Hope is a bird on wings
Of feathers and dwells in soul,
O singing songs of springs
Wordless, worrying least of fall.
In hope man casts his life's every wish
He was born with, a begging bawl alive,
Like a fisherman catching fish,
In hope to life's newer port to arrive.
Hope, thy mortal name is life,
‘Tis thee that life survives all strife.
