leaking Pen (Wellington, New Zealand)
I dreamed the dream-
A little pinch of beatitudes
A little pinch of the Song of Songs
A little pinch of Sufism
A little pinch of The There Jewels
A heaping tablespoon of Kama Sutra
********************************
I dreamed the dream:
I sing-along:
"A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
A spoonful of hate blows away the town
The love goes down
The love goes down
A spoonful of sugar instead
Honeymoon in every bed
In a most delightful way
The hate goes down
The hate goes down
In a most definite way
I dreamed the dream we all belong
I dreamed the dream the one song"
******************************* ***
I dreamed the dream
You sing-along:
"Hate's one-liner sharp razorblade
Makes the world go afraid
I dreamed the dream this thought will fade
New label instead in happiness made
Ingredients sweet as sugar my Valentine
The heart of every ripened Clementine"
************************* ***********
I dreamed the dream
We sing-along:
"One big hug- all humanity-
Void from all insanity or vanity
I dreamed the dream
The one center beam
No more fighting
No more strife
Into the arms of lovemaking
Sail away! Sail away!
Blessed all who say
Make love not war
Welcome the open door"
******************************* **
I dreamed the dream
The world sings-along:
'The one universal phrase
Smile on every humane face
Poetry's make belief
Fizz! fizz oh what a relief!
The perfect equalizer
The one ocean liner
Keeps us afloat in a sea of changes
No rich, no poor, my life, your death
But the one common dominator
Alphabet soup for the common man
Served from nature's altar
Freedom to choose
Free verse or musical rhyme
My poem's Open Ended summit climaxing
In love, for love, by love, to love
From love, to love, one love, all love
To the honeymoon bed
All dreams are lead instead'
