In My Maker's Presence

Free from cares and worries
I'll stand before my Maker
Without all of needs and wants
I'll face the Creator.

All of this man's doctrine
Will count not that day
These nothings of man's tradition
Won't serve the Word's way.

The Holy Writ will guide
The happenings of the day
Christ, the truth and the life
Will lead as the only way.

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
