Ironic

In my thoughts
each step of the way
maybe not in sight
but in my minds eye today

in the snow season
still it rains
thoughts haven't waited
for the weather to change

and the irony of it is
unsettling

saw a picture today
that looked like us
lovers covering like clothes
taken back because

I thought of you
after that
your laughter and smile
freely flowed through

and the irony of it is
I never intended it to

Up to the stars;
Or, true to the Almighty plan,
That out of dust created man,
