Looking Up. (July 15,1999 / Barinas)
Just One Last Time Part 1- The Note
I came into the house filled with silenced walls,
Between steel and wood lay desperate screams and lost calls.
I walked by the stairs, not permitting a second of my time to fall,
I entered the room with a note in bed that made my heart crawl.
The bed was empty and time stood still,
The pain was plenty, as the note made me ill.
It was a sticky note, with cursive letters inked in black,
I held a candle to illuminate the words that held me back.
For within the mustard-colored reminder,
There was a dream holding all my nightmares.
I sat motionless on the white blankets adorned with flowers of tears,
Bouquets of felicity flourished from the mightiest cheers.
I opened my eyes blinking and touched my ears,
Metal was attached and flashes of light illuminated all my fears.
Light-brown eyes brightened by the blue,
As this whole illusion remained but true.
The words kept spinning, not letting the steel needles pass through,
I clutched onto the note, and kissed it with a soft 'I love you.'
Flashes of light that darkened the past,
Made the note and the affection it could hold be the last.
The room was set ablaze with a fire that spread,
I found myself unconscious on the bed reading the note that said: ...
