Kabhi Azad Thay Hum Bhi

Kabhi aazad thay hm bhi, kabhi aabad thay hm bhi
Ke ab viraan hai manzar, lagi hai bud-dua koi

Nahi hmko yakeen kb tk, ye meri sans chal pae
chalo phir laut aao tm, usay day day sda koi

nahi jo ishq k qabil, usay q yaad krtay ho?
na us sa bewafa ho ga, na us se hai bura koi

Nahi hota asar mujh pr, kisi k aankh chalaknay se
Na koi seher chalta hai, na bhati hai ada koi

nahi aadat mere dill ko, uskay bin dharaknay ki
ab yun bechain rehta hun, k tuta ho nasha koi

gunah hm ne bhi kia hai, wafa ki aarzu kr k
na aur tarpa mere dil ko, de day ab saza koi

nami aankhon mai hai ab tk, hal-e-dil bhi nazuk hai
nahi talb-e-wafa hm ko, ker day buss dawa koi

yun to iss tabassum main, poshida hai hazaron gham
meri khushyan bhi paa leta, agr jo khojta koi

bari be-zabt hai dharkan, bht sunsaan hai ye dill
koi khud ko kehay mera, ho mujh se phir khafa koi
