Kitab Hai ye Zindagi....

Kitab hai ye zindagi,
Safhat badalte rehte hain,
Yahan logon ke rishton ke andaz badalte rehte hain,

Ek pal me koi ata hai ek pal me koi jata hai,
Pal bhar me dunya walon ke ehsas badalte rehte hain,
Angan me kabhi ate hai gham, kabhi mehman khushi bhe bante hai,
Asbak wohe rehte hai par anwan badalte rehte hain,

Lafzon ke sahil per yahan ashkon ke baraste hain sawan,
Andekhe afsano me yahan insan tarapte rehte hain,
In bezubaan lakeeron me taqdeer ka alam hai asa,
kismat ke basti me tanha sultan bhatakte rehte hain,

Dehshat zada andheron ke dastan kya kahon,
Khon ke rishte yahan nakab badalte rehte hain,
Kanto Bhare in rahon par bhatakte hai musafir sapno ke,
Phoolon ke chahat me aksar kirdar badalte rehte hain,

Koi rota hai, koi hansta hai, Koi khud se batean karta hai,
Mosam ke tarha logon ke halat badalte rehte hain,
In benam kutb khano se khamosh muhabbat hote hai,
jin me azeem logon ke ashar badalte rehte hain,

Kitab hai ye zindagi,
Safhat badalte rehte hain,
Yahan logon ke rishton ke andaz badalte rehte hain,

Whate'er we leave to God, God does,
And blesses us;
The work we choose should be our own,
God leaves alone.
