Li Shang Yin: Le You Field

Le You Field
By Mr. Li Shang Yin (Tang Dynasty 813-858)
Translated by Laijon Liu

1st:
O evening, how uncomforting
So I drive to the ancient field
The sun shines its infinite splendors
But the dusk is falling close

2nd:
Toward the evening I feel no comfort,
So I drive my car to the ancient field.
The setting sun shines infinite splendor,
But it is just close to the falling dusk.

向 晚 意 不 適 ,
驅 車 登 古 原 。
夕 陽 無 限 好 ,
只 是 近 黃 昏 。
