Life Is Like A Painting

Life is like a painting
We can not satisfy
Every viewer

Someone will say
It is abstract
And for another
It is collage

Some may say
It is cubism
Or Impressionism
Or Surrealism

But no one will say
It is absurd

Life is like a painting
We can not satisfy
Every viewer

Are but there in lies the beauty for life is at times absurd interesting yes but absurd nevertheless. We are each a beauty in our way but we shouldn't expect to be liked by everyone. Nice write Sir: O) BB (Report) Reply

Lovely is your comparison of life to a painting that leaves disparate and different views on what it is! A great poem! ! (Report) Reply

People see the world, and art, as they are. The perspective of one is such a little thing....nobody seems to notice that it should be. The real strength is in numbers.....that's why I love art and poetry. The one place where everybody gets to be right.

poet Helen Hunt Jackson

The month of carnival of all the year,
When Nature lets the wild earth go its way,
And spend whole seasons on a single day.
The spring-time holds her white and purple dear;
