Likha Tha Jisme Tera Naam - Ghazal

Likha tha jisme tera naam
woh taqdeer hamari thi

Layi jo ghazal ye rang e jamaal
Usme lal siyahi hamari thi

Beshikwa sahey tamaam zulm hamne
Ya khuda banai kya fitrat hamari thi

Kisi ki chahat mein kya marta hai koi
Kya kahen kaisi kismat hamari thi

Sisak sisak kar roya majnu bhi lipatkar
Jab sunai usey daastaan hamari thi

Ishq mein marna moiiyann toh tha
Woh toh mujhe jaan sey bhi pyaari thi

Teesri baar daali mitti kabr par Talab
Shaq hua yakin nahi woh hamari thi

Poem of the Day

poet Edmund Spenser

My love is like to ice, and I to fire:
How comes it then that this her cold so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,
