Man of Men

A Man of Men

A Man of Men is weak and fragile
A Man of Men feels pain and cries
A Man of Men is never hostile
A Man of Men has no need to lie

A Man of Men is kicked and beaten
A Man of Men lives loves truest form
A Man of Men can’t be broken
A Man of Men is a man reborn

A Man of Men is soft and kind
A Man of Men makes love to one
A Man of Men believes in mankind
A Man of Men is a man to his son

A Man of Men fights in words not arms
A Man of Men is morally just
A Man of Men causes peace not harm
A Man of Men is not a man of lust

A Man of Men is many things, many faces in a checkered scene
If you seek to find a Man of Men look behind those with an upheld chin
He’s out of the way, somewhere in the back
He’s easy to spot just open your soul and look with your heart
A Man is considered to do unmanly things

BUT

A Man of Men is one of the purist of beings

Poem of the Day

poet Alfred Lord Tennyson

It little profits that an idle king,
By this still hearth, among these barren crags,
Match'd with an aged wife, I mete and dole
Unequal laws unto a savage race,
