Sara Bergamini

(Italy, Forli)

me against the world

I put head phones and put on music at full volume
Because more than this pain is to hear myself cry

My tears feel like fire on my cheeks
I feel all my hair stuck to my neck by the tears
Everything is blurry all I can see is my own fear

I have no one to talk to
All my friends have left
And all the rest just won't understand
Because they are fearless and I'm not

I'm scared of not being loved
Because everyone leaves
No one loves me enough to stay
Everyone judges me
No one thinks my way
No one really cares

I'm scared of the future
Terrified from the past
Hurt by the present
I just don't understand
I don't care anymore what you think
My respect to you is dead to me

All the people I trust
Left me instead
All the ones that I loved
Hurt me with no regret
I'm all alone I have nothing to hold
Its only me against the world

Poem of the Day

poet Wilfred Owen

All sounds have been as music to my listening:
Pacific lamentations of slow bells,
The crunch of boots on blue snow rosy-glistening,
Shuffle of autumn leaves; and all farewells:
