Mercy of the Fawns

Don't worry about the wolves
The skin the wear is theirs

Watch the ones with two faces
With the eyes of the lamb, but the mind of a bear

Wolves are swords with only one edge
So vicious and deadly

But be careful of the double-bladed swords
One moment so sweet then the next bloodthirsty

Wolves can't cause fear
Like the true devil's spawn

For in a world full of wolves
We're at the mercy of the fawns

Poem of the Day

poet Percy Bysshe Shelley

O World! O Life! O Time!
On whose last steps I climb,
Trembling at that where I had stood before;
When will return the glory of your prime?
No more -Oh, never more!
