Miracles Nonetheless - Poem by Jeff Gangwer

I believe in little miracles—
Or daily wonders—
But miracles nonetheless—

The electric stovetop,
The eggs in a carton,
The bowl and the whisk

My hungry wife,
Scraping into the kitchen—
Another breakfast in paradise

The touch of a button—
A device—its keys, its glow—
Its capability to send rockets into space
