Mysterious Ways

Mysterious Ways

God moves in mysterious ways
To give His children rest
Oftimes it is no accident
By accident we're blessed

Big question marks on this side
Especially if one died
But all revealed eventually
When we reach the other side

Much needed rest required
The Great Physician knows
From the numbered hair on each head
Down to our very toes

He's got it all together
To the umpteenth degree
After all He's the Creator
He's made eternity

So cheer up fellow believers
God knows just where your at
Though trials and testing befall us
It does not diminish the fact

That God is in His heaven
He's watching over us all
Not only we human beings
But the tiniest sparrows fall

Take joy and give Him praises
My God how great Thou art
No mystery to You
My life Your work of art

So rest in comfort brother
Receive His special grace
I'd rather be in the will of God
Than any other place

Thank You Lord for resting
You have said it's good
We often fail to remember this
As Thou has said we should

In hospital bed, home laden?
I'll praise Thee all my days
I'll leave the outcome up to Him
Who moves in mysterious ways.

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
