Next To My Heart

What takes you back
To happier days
That sound, smell
A bright summers day
Oh how we drift in memories so
To the days we thought
Would never go
Somewhere we lost them
In the rush to live life
Stealing them back
When life's not going right
Oh how I treasure them so
Keeping the safe
Next to my heart
Is where they all go

Of this worlds theatre in which we stay,
My love like the spectator ydly sits
Beholding me that all the pageants play,
Disguysing diversly my troubled wits.
